Website Designing

Web design is the skill of creating presentations of content (usually hypertext or hypermedia) that is delivered to an end-user through the World Wide Web, by way of a Web browser or other Web-enabled software like Internet television clients, microblogging clients and RSS readers.

The intent of Web design is to create a websiteóa collection of electronic documents and applications that reside on a Web server/servers and present content and interactive features/interfaces to the end user in form of Web pages once requested.
Typically Web pages are classified as static or dynamic:

Static pages donít change content and layout with every request unless a human (web master/programmer) manually updates the page. A simple HTML page is an example of static content.
Dynamic pages adapt their content and/or appearance depending on end-userís input/interaction or changes in the computing environment (user, time, database modifications, etc.) Content can be changed on the client side (end-user's computer) by using client-side scripting languages (JavaScript, JScript, Actionscript, etc.) to alter DOM elements (DHTML). Dynamic content is often compiled on the server utilizing server-side scripting languages (Perl, PHP, ASP, JSP, ColdFusion, etc.). Both approaches are usually used in complex applications.

The World Wide Web has made a significant impact on our lives. A single mouse click takes you to far off places. Similarly people sitting far off places can come close to you with the help of this revolutionary information technology.
Every flight with the internet has been a delightful experience right from accessing information to enjoying the wonders of the brilliant applications that have given the internet their magical touch of interactivity, mind-boggling designs, zapping speeds and so much more.
Being on the World Wide Web open the doors of your office to visitors from all over the globe 24 hours a day. And want them to say that what a wonderful office you have? You would surely want to have an office in the Internet.
Want to make an identity in the Internet? Web site address becomes your identity, the address of your home on the net. Have a URL (Universal Resource Locator) and enjoy the benefit of World Wide Web.

1. Location
On the Internet your Website, address becomes your identity. We provide own domain name.

2. Where to host it
After the domain name, we will book a place to host a site. This means getting hard disk space on a computer that is always connected to the Internet.
We book the server in one of the paid servers. Hosting on a server located in another country (mostly the US and Canada) can cost less and is usually a more reliable solution due to the higher bandwidth availability in those countries.

3. We are the architect
Here we usually include the designing and programming involved. We use designing applications such as
Web Authoring: - HTML, DHTML, XML Dreamweaver, Frontpage, Visual Interdev, WML, CSS
Graphic Tools: -
Adobe: - Photoshop, Imageready, Illustrator,
Corel: - Corel Draw, Photopaint
Macromedia: - Flash, Director
Ulead:- PhotoImpact, GIF Animators
Databases: Access, MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle
RAD: .net, Visual Basic
Quality: SQA, Visual Intercept
Versioning: Visual Source Safe
Language: ASP, PHP, Pearl, Java & VB Script.
Server: WinNT, Win 2000, Apache, Linux, UNIX
Most of these applications can take a while for newcomers to get a hang of.

We look that site never downloads at a snail's pace. We need to consider the space your site would occupy and the size of each page.

4. Launch pad
Now that your Web site is ready, you need to upload it into the World Wide Web.

5. Spreading the word
Once your site is up and running, you will probably want to publicize it by registering your domain name with the more popular search engines such as www.yahoo.com, www.lycos.com www.altavista.com, www.google.com, www.webcrawler.com and www.infoseek.com. We do the publicity in this way. Other ways of increasing traffic to your web site could include a co branding arrangement with other popular sites, advertising in popular chat rooms that will provide links to your site, or just e-mailing your address. However, it depends on your decision of what are the methods to be adopted for publicity.

6. What else can I add to the site?
Other then the basic Web page that makes up your site, there are several other elements that we can include to make it more interesting. Add a
Form Mail
Search engine
Or/and a chat room
Or/and message board
Or/and data base
That provides people a forum to interact. Another important feature that we would want to add is a web counter that would help you track the popularity of your web site.

7. Keeping it in shape
Web site maintenance is very essential chore. After all, you do not let your brick-and mortar run office to seed. Every cyber abode will require some looking-after as well. Be prompt when it comes to maintaining your Web site. The more complex your site gets, the more difficult it will be to maintain it. You need to be diligent and resourceful to tackle those frustrating times when your ISP fails you, when you have problems using FTP client, or (God forbid!) the server crashes. Updating your site on a regular basis and maintaining consistency in your content are the surest ways to attract visitors and keep them hooked to your site.
We do this everything for you.

8. Put out the welcome mat
Well, as you can see, making Web sites is not really a big deal. As long as you are, clear about certain key issues and clear in selecting the right partners to share you success through net.

So get a head start with this new exciting venture. In addition, get ready for the 'muhurat' of your own cyber office.
